Good letter. I think the person put into words how the wingmen (and wingwomen?) feel. That is why we keep coming back, but beyond just coming back it is why we keep up our tangible support.

I know praise can sometimes feel hollow or useless-- especially if you hear it all the time (particularly from strangers) or it doesn't directly effect desired change or productivity.
It may be nice to hear, possibly even encourage with a burst of "spur us on", but it doesn't really "do" anything practical or tangible. Even with all the moral support, you can still feel as if you are working alone.
Yet I think it is important to acknowledge that even if-- gods forbid-- the worst somehow happens, we can be proud and thankful for what you did accomplish. And although it may not seem like much to you, considering how much more you want (and we want you) to do... don't let that invalidate or make seem not good enough all you have already and elsewise achieved. You-- Jess-- have done amazing things, not just what you created, but-- as the letter says--"You have touched us, and impressed us, and delighted us."

So say we all!

And while you may be the one doing the actual work, know that you do have fans... your efforts are appreciated, and we wingmen are ever present with our support and admiration.
