The river styx itself is not so fetid as the one that flows through NO. This situation is just beyond belief or frame of reference...

All I can say is way to go Mr. Bush. Americans are dying all over the world now for simply no reason, help should have been sent to the gulf coast people in the week before this tragedy happened considering the storm track did not very at all, it had a direct hit on the gulf coast as predicted, as an American citizen I am deeply saddened to see lives lost on our own ground on our own watch because our leaders and those who are called our protectors could not and are not doing there jobs... The gulf coast region of the United States has been reduced to the status of a third world country, there is no food, no water, no medicine, people are dying for absolutely no reason. With a natural disaster you expect death and catastrophic damage but once the storm is over you should be able to get on your feet and fight back, rebuild, have hope and faith that things will be ok. These people not only had to battle the storm they now have to battle just to survive in the squalid conditions they are trapped in, I think for them all hope and faith has been lost, there spirits have been broken. I am sorry for everyone in that region, hope and faith should not be left up to someone who doesn’t know how to do his job. The country he is supposed to be leading is without a leader. Mr. Bush way to little way to late...

Ugh. Well said, Jessica.
It's so difficult to comment on this tragedy effectively, but you've done it.
