Jessica, I think that you should go on the VH1 show 'Totally Obsessed' (I think that's what it's called), because you're obsessed with ninjas.
I also think that you should accept that the calendar is how it is and isn't going to change. Then maybe you can start to celebrate New Years. |

[ahem] On the Jewish calendar, the new year begins at sundown on September 15, so clearly, Jessica was starting September as soon as possible with that in mind. |

Yes, you too can be a Ninja: http://www.entertheninja.com/ninja_fun/shirt_ninja.shtml
Perhaps the Jewish New Year can be part of Awesomber. I must do more research. The regular New Year, however, will be deleted from the calendar as nothing worth celebrating has ever occured on that day. Awesomber 19th also marks a very special holiday. I'll tell you more about it closer to date. |

Is Awesomber 19th the anniversary of your move out to LA? |

Jessica, if your establishment of Awesomber around the month of September is a coincidence, it is a remarkable one--maybe even an awesome one.
The Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah, marks the beginning of a ten-day period known as the Days of Awe. It is a time of introspection, looking back on the mitakes of the past year and planning changes for the better. You could even say that it is a "somber" time.

Hehe when I first overlooked "Awesomber" I thought it read "Awesober".
I was thinking, "What? Jessica wants everyone to be sober?" LoL |

Kaleb: I had first written "Awesomeber," but then eliminated the second "e" because I liked the Awe + Somber effect. Sometimes you know things even though you may not know you know them, you know?
Andre: Good guess. Butyou'rewrong.
Amanda: The only time I request that people be sober is on "dress-like a Ninja day," because throwing stars and Jim Beam don't mix. |

I wanted to see Hero in theaters on Sunday cause I had off of work, but on Saturday, my brother got the dvd of it since the dvd is out in China. I had difficulty with the dvd at first because I couldn't read the screen to find where the subtitles thing was, and then my brother informed me that I am an idiot and there is a button on the dvd control that says subtitles. Once I got those up and going, I sat back and enjoyed. Awesome awesome awesome movie! It was absolutely beautiful to watch. Especially the "fight" between Moon and Flying Snow with all those flower petals, or possibly they were just leaves. Either way, it was just awesome. And also the "fight" between Broken Sword and nameless over the water. |

Fact: As I sit here reading Jen's posting, I realize that it is important for me to take a picture of the shirt I am wearing.

If ninjas hate pirates, do you hate yourself? If so, I guess you'll fight yourself, a la Tyler Durden, poke out one of your eyes, and cut off the bottom of one of your legs. Then you'll have an excuse to get an eye patch and a peg leg. Of course, the limited sight and mobility will weaken your ninja fighting abilities. |

What I love about the The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins is that Spock is the only one not wearing pointy ears. |

Math question...
Your LOTW says The 60's + Spock x Hobbits = The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. I don't understand the solution, so it is
1. The 60s + (Spock x Hobbits) = The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins
or
2. (The 60s + Spock) x Hobbits = The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins? |

Andre -- simple order of operations. Multiplication and division are alway done before addition and subtraction when no other operators (like parenthesis) are present. |
|

From Andre |
Gunn,
I know about the order of operations. The only reason why I asked the question, is because when I used the order of operations, my equation resulted The 60's + Spock x Hobbits = C.Sto is a loser. |

From Andre |
C.Sto,
1) I don't have a PS2. 2) I have never played James Bond on PS2.
Ergo your equation is invalid.
However, mad props for your joke. Dr. Dre gives you an A for effort. |
